Since 2016, the Virginia Lottery’s Thank a Teacher program has celebrated Virginia’s K–12 public school educators in big ways: student-designed thank-you notes, cash prizes, classroom supplies and a Teachers’ Lounge Makeover. The annual Art Contest gives young artists the chance to design the notes distributed during Teacher Appreciation Week. In its first 11 years, the program delivered more than one million thank-you notes and awarded prizes to 22 teachers. See how Thank a Teacher is growing this fall!
